أَخْبَرَنَا سَوَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَعْرَابِيٍّ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ «لَا بَأْسَ عَلَيْكَ طُهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ» قَالَ كَلَّا بَلْ عَلَيَّ حُمَّى تَفُورُ فِي عِظَامِ شَيْخٍ كَبِيرٍ كَيْمَا تُزِيرُهُ الْقُبُورَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَنَعَمْ إِذًا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon a bedouin to visit him and said: “No harm upon you; it is purification, if Allah wills.” He said: “No, rather it is a fever that boils in the bones of an old man, so that it may make him visit the graves.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Then yes, indeed.”
