أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ طَلْقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ الْأُسْرُ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَالشَّامِ يَطْلُبُ مَنْ يُدَاوِيهِ فَلَقِيَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «رَبَّنَا اللهَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ اجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ اغْفِرْ لَنَا حُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا أَنْتَ رَبُّ الطَّيِّبِينَ أَنْزِلْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَشِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجَعِ فَيَبْرَأُ» 10808 أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَلْقَ بْنَ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ بِهِ الْأُسْرُ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَقُولَ «رَبُّنَا اللهُ الَّذِي تَقَدَّسَ فِي السَّمَاءِ اسْمُهُ» وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ

✧ That he had urinary retention, so he went to Madinah and Syria seeking someone to treat him. He met a man who said: “Shall I teach you words I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? ‘Our Lord is Allah who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your command is in heaven and earth. As Your mercy is in heaven, place Your mercy on earth. Forgive us our sins and our errors. You are the Lord of the good. Send down a mercy from Your mercy and a healing from Your healing upon this pain, and it will be cured.’” 10808 Mahmud b. Ghaylan informed us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'ba narrated to us, he said: Yunus b. Khabbab informed me, he said: I heard Talq b. Habib, from a man from the people of Syria, from his father, that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ who had urinary retention. The Prophet ﷺ commanded him to say: “Our Lord is Allah whose name is hallowed in heaven,” and he narrated the hadith.
