أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَعْنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِي قَالَ
جَاءَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعُودُنِي مِنْ وَجَعٍ اشْتَدَّ بِي فَقَالَ امْسَحْ بِيَمِينِكَ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ فَفَعَلْتُ فَأَذْهَبَ اللهُ مَا كَانَ بِي فَلَمْ أَزَلْ آمُرُ بِهِ أَهْلِي وَغَيْرَهُمْ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to visit me during an illness that had become severe for me, and said, 'Wipe with your right hand seven times and say: I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I find.' I did that, and Allah removed what was afflicting me, and I did not cease to instruct my family and others to do it.
