أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زُنْبُورٍ الْمَكِّيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِي قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَخَذَهُ وَجَعٌ قَدْ كَادَ يُبْطِلُهُ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ ضَعْ يَمِينَكَ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي تَشْتَكِي فَامْسَحْ بِهِ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ فِي كُلِّ مَسْحَةٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي صَالِحٍ

✧ He informed him that 'Uthman b. Abi al-'As came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ suffering from an illness that had nearly incapacitated him. He mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he asserted that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Place your right hand on the place that hurts, wipe it seven times, and say: I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I find, in every wiping.' And the wording is that of Abu Salih.
