أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَوْسَطَ الْبَجَلِيِّ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ
قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَقَامِي هَذَا عَامَ أَوَّلَ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْبَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «سَلُوا اللهَ الْمُعَافَاةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُؤْتَ أَحَدٌ بَعْدَ الْيَقِينِ خَيْرًا مِنَ الْمُعَافَاةِ وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَلَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا وَكُونُوا إِخْوَانًا كَمَا أَمْرَكُمُ اللهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in this place of mine last year, then he wept, then he said: “Ask Allah for well-being, for no one has been given anything better after certainty than well-being. Do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another, do not sever ties with one another, and do not compete with one another. Be brothers as Allah has commanded you.”
