حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَذَا الشَّيْخُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَخَذَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَضْجَعَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَتَوَسَّدْ يَمِينَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ بِاسْمِ اللهِ اللهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ رَهْبَةً مِنْكَ وَرَغْبَةً إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَى مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الْمُرْسَلِ مَنْ قَالَهَا ثُمَّ مَاتَ مَاتَ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When one of you takes to his bed at night, let him place his right hand under his cheek, then let him say: In the name of Allah. O Allah, I have submitted my soul to You, and leaned my back upon You, and entrusted my affair to You, and turned my face to You, out of fear of You and desire for You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You have sent down, and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.” Whoever says it and then dies, dies upon the natural disposition.
