أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَقُلِ اللهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَى مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ فَإِنْ مُتَّ مِنْ لَيْلَتِكَ مُتَّ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ وَإِنْ أَصْبَحْتَ أَصْبَحْتَ خَيْرًا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When you retire to your bed, say: O Allah, I have submitted my soul to You, turned my face toward You, entrusted my affair to You, and leaned my back upon You, out of desire and fear of You. There is no shelter or refuge from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and in Your Prophet whom You sent. If you die that night, you die upon the fitrah, and if you wake up, you wake up to good."
