أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
لَقَدْ كَانَتْ «صَلَاةُ الظُّهْرِ تُقَامُ فَيَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَيَقْضِي حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى يَطُولُهَا»

✧ The Dhuhr prayer would be commenced, and a person would go to al-Baqi', relieve himself, then perform ablution, then come back while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was still in the first rak'ah, lengthening it.
