أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ قَزْعَةَ وَأَبِي غَالِبٍ قَالَا شَيَّعَنَا ابْنً عُمَرَ فَلَمَّا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نُفَارِقَهُ قَالَ

«إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي مَا أُعْطِيكُمَا وَلَكِنْ أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دِينَكُمَا وَأَمَانَاتِكُمَا وَخَوَاتِيمَ أَعْمَالِكُمَا وَأَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمَا السَّلَامُ» [193] 10278 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَا وَقَزْعَةُ فَلَمَّا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ مَشَى مَعَنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا عِنْدِي مَا أُعْطِيكُمْ وَلَكِنْ أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ

Translation

✧ ‘I have nothing with me to give you two, but I entrust Allah with your religion, your trusts, and the final outcomes of your deeds, and I convey peace to you both.’ [193] 10278 Ahmad b. Sulayman narrated to us, he said: ‘Ubayd Allah narrated to us, he said: Isra’il narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from Abu Ghalib, who said: I was with Ibn ‘Umar, I and Qaza‘ah. When we left him, he walked with us and then said, ‘I have nothing to give you, but I entrust Allah…’ and he narrated the hadith.
