أَخْبَرَنِي مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ يَقُولُ أَرَادَ رَجُلٌ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ سَفَرًا فَجَاءَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ

عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ انْتَظِرْ حَتَّى أُوَدِّعَكَ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوَدِّعُنَا «أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دَيْنِكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِمَ عَمَلِكَ»

✧ ‘Abd Allah b. ‘Umar: Wait so that I may bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bid us farewell: ‘I entrust Allah with your religion, your trust, and the final outcomes of your deeds.’
