أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُومُ فِي مَجْلِسٍ إِلَّا قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَقُولُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ إِذَا قُمْتَ؟ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ لَا يَقُولُهُنَّ أَحَدٌ حِينَ يَقُومُ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسِ»

✧ Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up from a gathering, he would say, “Lā ilāha illā anta astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk (There is no god but You; I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You).” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, how often you say these words when you get up!” He said, “No one says them when he gets up from his gathering except that he is forgiven for what occurred in that gathering.”
