أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ جَلَسَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ كَثُرَ فِيهِ لَغَطُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ذَلِكَ

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever sits in a gathering in which there is much noise and then says before he stands, ‘Subḥānaka rabbanā wa bi-ḥamdika lā ilāha illā anta astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk (Glory be to You, O our Lord, and with Your praise; there is no god but You; I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You),’ he will be forgiven for what occurred in that gathering.”
