The Prophet ﷺ said: "There are four practices from the affairs of the Jahiliyyah among my Ummah that they will not abandon: boasting of ancestry, disparaging lineages, seeking rain through the stars, and wailing over the dead." He also said: "If the wailing woman does not repent before her death, she will be raised on the Day of Resurrection wearing a garment of tar and a coat of scabies."
