✧ The people of Kufa came as a delegation to ʿUmar, and among them was a man who used to mock Uways. ʿUmar said, “Is there anyone here from the Qaranis?” So that man came. ʿUmar said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has said: ‘A man will come to you from Yemen, called Uways. He will leave behind in Yemen no one but a mother of his. He had a white patch on him, and he supplicated Allah, and He removed it from him except for the place of a dinar or a dirham. Whoever among you meets him, let him ask him to seek forgiveness for you.’”
