✧ Shortening the Prayer During Travel and What Came About Combining Two Prayers

وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ سَوَّارِ بْنِ شَبِيبٍ، قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ -: رَكْعَتَيْنِ.. رَكْعَتَيْنِ، إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ
Translation

✧ I asked 'Abdullah b. 'Umar ؓ about prayer during travel, and he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs, except Maghrib.
