✧ I was sitting with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the mosque of al-Khayf, and two men came to him: an Ansari and a Thaqafi. Then he mentioned the hadith. He said: The Thaqafi said: Tell me, O Messenger of God, about what I have come to ask you. He ﷺ said: 'You have come to ask me about the prayer.' Then he mentioned the hadith. He ﷺ said: 'Then when you stand for prayer, recite what is easy of the Quran. Then when you bow, place your hands firmly on your knees and spread your fingers until you are at rest bowing. Then when you prostrate, place your face firmly in prostration until you are at rest prostrating. And pray at the beginning of the night and at its end.' He said: What do you think if I pray the entire night? He ﷺ said: 'Then indeed you will...'
