✧ I came to visit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and 'A'ishah ؓ, and he was receiving revelation. When it was lifted from him, he ﷺ said to 'A'ishah: 'Hand me my cloak.' He went out and entered the mosque, and there was a group of people in it, no other group being in the mosque. He sat in a corner of the people until the one reminding had finished his reminder. Then he recited: 'The revelation of the prostration.' The people were unable to fit in the mosque, so 'A'ishah ؓ sent to her family: 'Attend the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for I have seen something from him I have never seen.' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head, and Abu Bakr ؓ said: "You prolonged the prostration, O Messenger of Allah." He ﷺ said: "I prostrated in gratitude to my Lord for what He gave me from my nation: seventy thousand who will enter Paradise." Abu Bakr ؓ said: "O Messenger of Allah, your nation is larger and better, so ask for more for them," until he said it twice or three times. 'Umar ؓ said: "May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah, your nation has encompassed you."
