✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ attended the day of Hunayn while distributing the spoils...... the hadith. Regarding the man's saying: "This is a division by which the face of God is not intended." He said: I was present after that with Ali ؓ when he killed them at al-Nahrawan, and Ali ؓ sought—meaning al-Mukhdaj—he said: He did not find him. Then he found him after that beneath a wall, with this description. Ali ؓ said: Which of you knows this man? A man from the people said: We know him. This is Hurqus, and his mother is here. He said: Ali ؓ sent for his mother and said to her: From whom is this? She said: I do not know, O Commander of the Faithful, except that in the pre-Islamic era I was shepherding sheep of mine at al-Rabadhah, and something like darkness came over me, and I conceived from it, and gave birth to this.
