وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ ؓ، قَالَ:

خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَمَا ارْتَفَعَتْ وَنَاسٌ عِنْدَ الْحُجُرَاتِ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: يَا أَهْلَ الْحُجُرَاتِ، سُعِّرَتِ النَّارُ، وَجَاءَتِ الْفِتَنُ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ، لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا وَلَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out after the sun had risen, while people were near the rooms, and said ﷺ, 'O people of the rooms, the Fire has been kindled and trials have come like patches of dark night. If you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh little.'
