✧ Clarification of the beginning of the trial

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الْعَتَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُهَنَّدٌ الْقَيْسِيُّ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّكُمْ فِي نُبُوَّةٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ، وَسَتَكُونُ خِلَافَةٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ، وَيَكُونُ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَيَكُونُ مُلْكًا عَضُوضًا، يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ، وَيَلْبَسُونَ الْحَرِيرَ، وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ يُنْصَرُونَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ

Translation

✧ You are in a time of prophethood and mercy. Then there will be a caliphate and mercy. Then there will be such and such, and then a biting kingship. They will drink wine and wear silk, and despite that they will be given victory until the Hour is established.
