✧ Men of Quraysh entered upon his father, Ali b. al-Husayn, and he said: Shall I not tell you about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? They said: Yes. So he narrated to us, saying: When he ﷺ fell ill, Gabriel came to him... and he mentioned the hadith in full, except that he said: he is called Isma'il, over one hundred thousand angels, each angel of them over one hundred thousand. And he said in it after 'I will leave it': He said: 'Will you indeed do it, O Angel of Death?' He said: 'Yes, with this I have been commanded, and I have been commanded to obey you.' He said: Then he ﷺ looked at Gabriel, and Gabriel said: 'O Muhammad...' and he mentioned something similar. And he said after his saying 'the reward': Ali ؓ said: Do you know who this is? This is al-Khidr ﷺ.
