✧ We entered Makkah with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and in the House or around the House there were three hundred and sixty idols worshipped besides God Almighty. The Messenger of God ﷺ ordered that they be thrown on their faces, then he said: “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished; indeed falsehood is bound to vanish.” Then the Messenger of God ﷺ entered the House and prayed two rakʿahs in it. He saw in it images of Ibrāhīm, Ismāʿīl, and Isḥāq, and they had placed divining arrows in Ibrāhīm’s hand with which he sought omens. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “May God fight them! Ibrāhīm never sought omens with divining arrows.” Then the Messenger of God ﷺ called for saffron and smeared it over those images.
