✧ He was standing over the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a sword, and he was veiled. 'Urwah - meaning Ibn Mas'ud al-Thaqafi - began to touch the beard of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while speaking to him. Al-Mughirah said to him: 'You must stop your hand, or your hand will not return to you.' And al-Mughirah was girded with a sword. 'Urwah said: 'Who is this, O Messenger of Allah?' He ﷺ said: 'This is your nephew, al-Mughirah.' He said: 'Indeed, O treacherous one. I have not washed my head from your treachery.'
