✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ climbing up in Uhud... and he mentioned the hadith. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered 'Ali b. Abi Talib to go to al-Mihras, and he brought him water in his shield. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came with it, and when he wanted to drink from it, he found it had a smell and disliked it, so he washed his face ﷺ with it from the blood that had struck him, while saying: Allah's anger is severe upon whoever made the face of the Messenger of Allah bleed. The one who made him bleed that day was 'Utbah b. Abi Waqqas.
