✧ I saw myself with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Uhud when fear intensified upon us and sleep was sent upon us. There was none of us but his chin - or he said: his chin - was on his chest. By Allah, I heard as in a dream the words of Mu'attib b. Qushayr: "If we had any say in the matter, we would not have been killed here." I memorized them, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed about that: "Then after distress, He sent down upon you security - drowsiness" up to His saying: "we would not have been killed here" for the saying of Mu'attib b. Qushayr. He said: "If you had been in your houses" until: "And Allah is All-Knowing of what is in the breasts."
