وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِأُمَّتِي مِنْ دُونِ الْبَشَرِ أَنْ لَا يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَأَعْطَانِيهَا

Translation

✧ I asked my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, for my nation to spare them from the punishment of the other nations, and He granted it to me.
