وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِلَالٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ ؓ قَالَتِ:

انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ أَكْرَهَ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: إِنَّ قَوْمَكِ صَنَعُوا كَذَا وَكَذَا، قَالَتْ ؓ: فَمَا قُمْتُ مِنْ مَقْعَدِي، وَمِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُ

✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and there was no one among the people more hateful to me than him. He ﷺ said: 'Your people did such and such.' She ؓ said: 'So I did not rise from my seat, and there was no one among the people more beloved to me than him.'
