✧ When Suhayb wanted to emigrate to Madinah, the disbelievers of Quraysh said to him: You came to us destitute, then your wealth grew among us and you reached what you reached, and now you want to leave with your self and your wealth! By God, that will not happen. He said to them: What if I give you my wealth, will you let me go? They said: Yes. He said: I call you to witness that I have given you my wealth. That reached the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: Suhayb has profited, Suhayb has profited.

machine translationA sound (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith, provided that Abū ʿUthmān heard it from Ṣuhayb. Jaʿfar b. Sulaymān al-Ḍubaʿī narrated it from ʿAwf, from Abū ʿUthmān, from Ṣuhayb, may God be pleased with him, who said: "When I wished..." and he mentioned something similar. So its connection (ittiṣāl) is established, and praise be to God.
