✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us on a military expedition and appointed Ali ؓ over us. When we came to him, he said, "How did you find your companion?" He said, "Either I complained about him or someone else did." I raised my head, and I was a man who often looked down, and behold, the Prophet ﷺ had turned red in the face, and he was saying, "Whoever's mawla I am, Ali is his mawla."
