قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ - ؓ قَالَ:
إِنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، امْسَحْ وَجْهِي، وَادْعُ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِي، قَالَ: فَمَسَحَ ﷺ وَجْهَهَا، وَدَعَا اللهَ تَعَالَى لَهَا، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، سَفِّلْ يَدَكَ فَسَفَّلَ ﷺ يَدَهُ عَلَى صَدْرِهَا، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، سَفِّلْ يَدَكَ فَأَبَى ﷺ، وَبَاعَدَهَا
Translation

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, wipe my face and supplicate to God Almighty for me.' He said: He ﷺ wiped her face and supplicated to God Almighty for her. She said: 'O Messenger of God, lower your hand.' So he ﷺ lowered his hand onto her chest. She said: 'O Messenger of God, lower your hand.' But he ﷺ refused and distanced himself from her.
