✧ A bedouin man came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a jubbah of sijān (a type of fabric) adorned with gold. He stood at the head of the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'This companion of yours elevates every shepherd, son of a shepherd, and lowers every horseman, son of a horseman.' He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ took hold of the collar of his jubbah and said: 'Sit down, for I see on you the clothes of one who has no intellect. God Almighty did not send any prophet before me except that he had herded sheep.' He said: It was said: 'And you, O Messenger of God?' He ﷺ said: 'Yes, for qarārīṭ and half qarārīṭ.' Then the Prophet ﷺ said: 'When death approached Prophet Nūḥ ﷺ, he said to his son: I enjoin upon you a bequest...'
