✧ The Blessing of His Supplication ﷺ

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، مِنْ بَنِي سَلَامَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، قَالَتْ:

إِنَّ خَالَهَا حَبِيبَ بْنَ فُوَيْكٍ حَدَّثَهَا إِنَّ أَبَاهُ خَرَجَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَعَيْنَاهُ مُبْيَضَّتَانِ لَا يُبْصِرُ بِهِمَا شَيْئًا، فَسَأَلَهُ: مَا أَصَابَكَ ؟ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أُمَرِّنُ جَمَلًا لِي فَوَضَعْتُ رِجْلِي عَلَى بَيْضَةِ حَيَّةٍ، فَأُصِبْتُ، فَنَفَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ، فَأَبْصَرَ، قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُدْخِلُ الْخَيْطَ فِي الْإِبْرَةِ، وَإِنَّهُ لَابْنُ ثَمَانِينَ، وَإِنَّ عَيْنَيْهِ لَمُبْيَضَّتَانِ

Translation

✧ Her maternal uncle, Habib b. Fuwayk, narrated to her that his father took him to the Prophet ﷺ while his eyes were white and he could not see anything with them. He asked him, 'What happened to you?' He said, 'I was training a camel of mine and I placed my foot on a snake's egg, so I was afflicted.' The Prophet ﷺ blew into his eyes and he saw. He said: I saw him putting a thread into a needle, and he was eighty years old, and his eyes were white.
