✧ When Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ camped at al-Jabiyah, he said to Mu'adh ؓ: 'O Mu'adh, what is the firm handle of this matter?' He said: 'I said: Sincerity, O Commander of the Faithful, and obedience. Then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Three things, whoever does them has committed a crime: whoever raises a banner unjustly, or disobeys his mother, or walks with an oppressor to support him has committed a crime. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says: We will take retribution from the criminals.'
