وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، ثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْإِفْرِيقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - ؓ قَالَ:

سُئِلَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ عَنْ مَقَالِيدِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْعَرْشِ...

✧ Uthman b. Affan ؓ was asked about the keys of the heavens and the earth. He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is Most Great – these are the keys of the heavens and the earth – and there is no power nor strength except with Allah, from the treasures of the Throne...'
