✧ He asked Jibril ﷺ about this verse: 'And the trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will fall dead, except whom Allah wills.' Who are those whom He did not will to fall dead? He said: 'They are the martyrs, girded with their swords around the throne of the Most Merciful. The angels will receive them on the Day of Resurrection to the gathering place on noble steeds of ruby, whose saddle blankets are softer than silk. Their stride is as far as the sight of men. They will travel in Paradise, and when the excursion is long, they will say: Let us go to our Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, to see how He judges between His creation. My God smiles at them, and when He smiles at a servant in any place, there is no reckoning upon him.'
