وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ: حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ السَّبِيعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْحَمْرَاءِ - ؓ قَالَ:
صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ سَبْعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ، فَكَانَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ أَتَى بَابَ عَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ ؓ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: الصَّلَاةَ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللهُ، إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ الْآيَةَ
Translation

✧ I accompanied the Messenger of God ﷺ for seven months. When morning came, he would come to the door of 'Ali and Fatimah ؓ and say: 'Prayer, may God have mercy on you. God only intends to remove from you the impurity, O people of the house...' the verse.
