✧ I went out with Umm Mistah al-Ansariyyah ؓ for some need of ours. She stumbled and said, 'May Mistah perish!' I said, 'How bad is what you said about a man who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' When my innocence was revealed, he ﷺ said, 'O A'ishah, rejoice.' My father and mother ؓ came to me and kissed me. I pushed their chests and said, 'Not by your praise nor by the praise of your companion. I praise Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for what He has excused me, declared my innocence, and how ill you thought of me, since you did not think good of yourselves.'
