✧ Whoever says when he wakes up, as Allah, Exalted is He, has returned his soul to him: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise; in His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable,' his sins will be forgiven, even if they are like the foam of the sea.

machine translationIts chain of transmission is weak (ḍaʿīf) because of Isḥāq.

  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationI say: Its chain of transmission is weak (ḍaʿīf) because of Isḥāq. Ibn al-Sunnī recorded it in ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-l-Laylah via Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh, from Muḥammad b. Isḥāq, from Mūsā b. Wardān. I think Ismāʿīl made a mistake in it, and that it is in fact the hadith of Isḥāq b. Abī Farwah. And God knows best.
