حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ فِيهَا قَالَتْ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ فَطَلَّقَنِي ألْبَتَّةَ فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ أَطْلُبُ النَّفَقَةَ فَقَالُوا لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْنَا نَفَقَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ لَكِ عَلَيْهِمْ نَفَقَةٌ وَعَلَيْكِ الْعِدَّةُ فَانْتَقِلِي إِلَى أُمِّ شَرِيكٍ وَلَا تُفَوِّتِينَا بِنَفْسِكِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أُمَّ شَرِيكٍ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا إِخْوَانُهَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَلَكِنِ انْتَقِلِي إِلَى ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ وَإِنْ وَضَعْتِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا»

✧ I was with a man from Banu Makhzum, and he divorced me irrevocably. I sent to his family seeking maintenance, and they said, "You have no maintenance from us." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "You have no maintenance from them, and you must observe the waiting period. Move to Umm Sharik, and do not miss us with regard to yourself." Then he said, "Umm Sharik receives visits from her brothers among the first Emigrants, but move to Ibn Umm Maktum, for he has lost his sight; if you put down something, he will not see anything."
