قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
أَتَيْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ أَتَكَارَى مِنْهُ بَيْتًا فِي دَارِهِ، فَقَالَ: تَكَارَ، فَإِنَّهَا مُبَارَكَةٌ عَلَى مَنْ هِيَ لَهُ، مُبَارَكَةٌ عَلَى مَنْ سَكَنَهَا، فَقُلْتُ: مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَدْ نُحِرَتْ جَزُورٌ، وَقَدْ أَمَرَ بِقِسْمَتِهَا، فَقَالَ لِلَّذِي يَقْسِمُهَا: « أَعْطُوا عَمْرًا مِنْهَا قَسْمًا ». فَلَمْ يُعْطِنِي وَأَغْفَلَنِي، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْغَدُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ دَرَاهِمُ فَقَالَ: « أَخَذْتَ الْقَسْمَ الَّذِي أَمَرْتُ لَكَ ؟ » قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَعْطَانِي شَيْئًا، قَالَ: فَتَنَاوَلَ ﷺ مِنَ الدَّرَاهِمِ، فَأَعْطَانِي فَجِئْتُ بِهَا إِلَى أُمِّي، فَقُلْتُ: خُذِي هَذِهِ الدَّرَاهِمَ الَّتِي أَخَذَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ أَعْطَانِيهَا، أَمْسِكِيهَا حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ فِي أَيِّ شَيْءٍ نَضَعُهَا، ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ الدَّهْرُ ضَرَبَاتِهِ حَتَّى اشْتَرَيْتُ هَذِهِ الدَّارَ قَالَتْ أُمِّي: إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَنْقُدَ ثَمَنَهَا فَلَا تَنْقُدْ حَتَّى تَدْعُوَنِي أَدْعُ لَكَ بِالْبَرَكَةِ، فَدَعَوْتُهَا حَتَّى هَيَّأْتُهَا، فَقَالَتْ لِي: خُذْ هَذِهِ الدَّرَاهِمَ، فَشَرِّكْهَا فِيهَا فَشَرَّكْتُهَا ثُمَّ خَلَطْتُهَا، وَقَالَتِ: اذْهَبْ بِهَا

✧ I came to Amr b. Hurayth to rent a house from him in his home. He said: "Rent it, for it is blessed for its owner and blessed for whoever dwells in it." I said: "From what is that?" He said: "I came to the Prophet ﷺ when a camel had been slaughtered and he had ordered it to be divided. He said to the one dividing it: 'Give Amr a share of it.' But he did not give me and neglected me. The next day I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while there were dirhams in front of him. He said: 'Did you take the share I ordered for you?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, he did not give me anything.' He said: Then he ﷺ took some dirhams and gave them to me. I brought them to my mother and said: 'Take these dirhams that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took with his own hand and gave to me; keep them until we see what to put them in.' Then time took its course until I bought this house. My mother said: 'When you want to pay its price, do not pay until you call me so I may supplicate for blessing for you.' So I called her when I had prepared it. She said to me: 'Take these dirhams and include them in it.' So I included them and mixed them, and she said: 'Go with them.'"
