✧ I was with Salman ؓ when we passed by the Tigris. He said: 'O brother of Banu 'Abs, dismount and drink.' So I dismounted and drank. Then he said: 'Dismount and drink.' So I dismounted and drank. He said: 'O brother of Banu 'Abs, how much did your drinking diminish from the Tigris?' I said: 'How could my drinking diminish the Tigris?' He said: 'Likewise, knowledge does not perish, so take from it what benefits you.'
