✧ Whoever says about me what I did not say, or claims allegiance to me, or ascribes himself to other than his patrons, let him take his seat between the two eyes of Hell. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, does it have two eyes? He ﷺ said: Yes. Have you not heard the words of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: "When it sees them from a distant place, they will hear its raging and roaring"? So we refrained from speaking until he noticed that about us and said: What is the matter that I do not hear you conversing? We said: O Messenger of Allah, how can we converse when you said what you said? We cannot relate the hadith exactly; we advance and delay, and we add and omit. He ﷺ said: I did not mean that; I meant the one who intends to find fault with me and to disgrace Islam.
