✧ It has reached me that Luqman the Wise used to say: 'O my son, do not learn knowledge to boast with it among the scholars, to argue with the foolish, or to show off with it in gatherings. And do not abandon knowledge out of disdain for it, preferring ignorance. O my son, when you see a people remembering Allah, Exalted, sit with them. For if you are learned, your knowledge will benefit you; and if you are ignorant, they will teach you. And perhaps Allah, Exalted, will look upon them with His mercy, and it will reach you along with them.'
