حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنِي رِيَاحُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ:
كُنَّا عِنْدَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ؓ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَعِنْدَهُ أَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ، فَجَاءَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ؓ فَأَوْسَعَ لَهُ الْمُغِيرَةُ ؓ، فَقَالَ: هُنَا فَاجْلِسْ، فَأَجْلَسَهُ مَعَهُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ ؓ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: « إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَيَّ لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ
Translation

✧ We were with al-Mughirah b. Shubah ؓ while he was in the mosque and with him were the people of Kufa. Then Said b. Zayd ؓ came, and al-Mughirah ؓ made room for him, saying, "Here, sit." He seated him with him on the couch. Said ؓ said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Indeed, lying about me is not like lying about anyone else. Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in the Fire."
