حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنَّ فِيهِ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ شَاءَ: مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ سَاحِرًا يَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ، وَلَمْ يَحْقِدْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ

Translation

  5. Yazīd b. al-Aṣam
  6. Ibn ʿAbbās
  7. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ Three things: whoever does not have them, then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will forgive whatever else He wills for him: whoever dies without associating anything with Allah, and was not a sorcerer following sorcerers, and did not bear malice against his brother.
