وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ( ح ) / 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ: وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَسْتُورُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ أَبُو هَمَّامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ:
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا تَرَكْتُ حَاجَةً، وَلَا دَاجَةً إِلَّا أَتَيْتُ، قَالَ ﷺ: أَلَيْسَ تَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ ؟ - ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ - قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: ذَاكَ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have left no desire, nor lust, except that I have committed it.' He ﷺ said: 'Do you not testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah?' – three times – He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'That suffices.'
