✧ Prohibition of Lying and Injustice

قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَامِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنِ الزِّبْرِقَانِ، عَنِ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

« لَا يَصْلُحُ الْكَذِبُ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثَةٍ: يَكْذِبُ فِي الْحَرْبِ، وَالْحَرْبُ خَدْعَةٌ، وَالرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَهُمَا، وَالرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ لِيُرْضِيَهَا

✧ "Lying is not permissible except in three cases: a man lies in war, for war is deception; a man lies between two men to reconcile them; and a man lies to his wife to please her."
