✧ When the Iqamah Is Called, There Is No Prayer Except the Prescribed One

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ؓ، قَالَ:

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ، وَقَدْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَقَالَ: « أَصَلَاتَانِ مَعًا ؟

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw a man praying two rak'ahs after the iqamah had been called, so he said: “Two prayers together?”
