✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ with a son of hers whose belly was swollen with water. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my son has been afflicted with what you see; should I cauterize him?' He ﷺ said: 'Do not cauterize your son.' She resolved not to cauterize him. Then a camel stumbled over him and struck him, or kicked him, and burst his belly, and he recovered. She returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah. I asked your permission to cauterize my son, and you forbade me. Then a camel passed by him and struck him, or kicked him, and burst his belly, and he recovered.' He ﷺ said: 'Indeed, had I given you permission, you would have claimed that it was the fire that cured him.'
