✧ A man among us complained of a severe illness, and the physicians said: 'He will not recover except by cauterization.' His family wanted to cauterize him, but some of them said: 'No, until we consult the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' So they consulted him, and he said: 'No.' Then the man recovered. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said: 'Is this the companion of Banu so-and-so?' They said: 'Yes.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, if this man had been cauterized, people would have said: It was only the cauterization that cured him.'
